Justin came by to visit her father, bringing his new girlfriend, Eleanor, with him. Cassandra isn't really jealous, she knows that when it comes right down to it, Justin was never the right man for her. His cold, dispassionate temperament was no match for her more fiery disposition. Still, it stings to see that some other woman was able to wake in him what Cassandra never could. She expected him to go to his grave alone and unloved after they broke up, and is a bit disappointed that he's managed to find the happiness that Cassandra has yet to find for herself.

While her father chats with Justin, Cassandra gets to know Eleanor. She truly is Justin's proper match, Cassandra thinks, a bit cold and reserved, like him.

After a couple of hours of bland conversation, the couple leaves, and Cassandra finds herself heaving over the guest toilet again. She's been ill like this since she got her magic powers, and has begun wondering what exactly is the blue glowing stuff in the cauldron she found up in the attic. Could she have some kind of radiation sickness?
